To Screw or Not To Screw, That is the Question

So there I was, minding my own business when an email announced its arrival. I traipsed over to said email and began to read. Lo and behold, one of our fellow Earpers was writing to give yours truly some advice. The long and short of said advice? Well I’ll tell you. The long and short of said advice was that I, when interacting through the EDE account, should probably stop screwing around so much.

They went on to say that, if I want to share pictures or stories that I find amusing, I should do it on my own account and not one that, clearly, should be used for “business purposes.” They then tried to put a band-aid on the bullet wound by saying that, while I AM amusing, I’m NOT exactly “professional.”

Now, being the person that I am, I gave some serious consideration to what this Eaper had said. I do believe in hearing people out and trying to see their side of things before I decide on what to do with what folks say.

I don’t want to present a list of pros and cons or justify why I do and say the things that I do, as I’m not making a case for myself. I am who I am and I do what I do and that’s all I have to say “in my defense.”

Here’s where you guys come in. Since #EDE2022 is for you guys, I’m gonna leave it up to you. If you feel that I probably should quit screwing around so much, then lemme know. Conversely, if you are fine with it, I also need to know. That’s where the poll comes in. When you guys have spoken, I’ll follow your lead and adjust (or not) my behavior according.

Thanks,

Buffalo
