Accessibility Form

Here at EDE we are dedicated to making this convention enjoyable to all. If you or someone you know that will be attending the convention needs a helper, please fill out the form below so that we can provide further assistance. Please let us know ahead of time. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to contact us and we will be sure to get back to you.

ASL Interpreter

There will be ASL interpreters at the convention for panels. If you personally would like one with you at all times, during convention hours, please fill out the form on the accessibility page so we can better assist you. The earlier you fill out the form, the better.

Seating

Accessible/disabled seating will be available during the panels. Accessible seating is reserved exclusively for guests with accessible needs. This will be on a first come first serve basis and is subject to availability. We will do our very best to make sure you have proper seating. We advise you get there early to secure a seat. We are committed to working with guests on how to adequately accommodate individual needs.

Service Dog

The Americans with Disabilities Act says that a Service Dog must be trained specifically for a person with a disability. That means it can’t just be a general-purpose assistance dog, but rather it must be trained specifically for one person. The person who is getting the dog must have a disability that rises to a level that the Americans with Disabilities Act considers a disability.

The dog must be trained to do a “task.” The term is not strictly defined, but three of the most clear-cut tasks are helping lead a person who is blind across the street, alerting a person with severe diabetes that their blood sugar has dropped dangerously low, or picking up items for someone with limited mobility.

There are no limits to the size or breed of dog that may be used as a Service Dog. Dog must be harnessed at all times.
